6-Month Update on Starlink – Mining Bitcoin, Working From Home, and GAMING! I have been putting Starlink to WORK out here in the STICKS, using it for Bitcoin mining, full-time YouTubing, and of course, some gaming.
I feel pretty ripped off by Starlink. And as cool as a decent satellite internet option is, I am sick of Elon Musk’s Pay-To-Win mechanics of always upcharging, increasing prices, higher tiers, and really just feeling bullied to keep my Starlink subscription online.
Upgrading my Starlink deployment by moving the dish to the roof is good; it was pretty easy and there were no holes with the roof mount Starlink provides. But again, engineering is awesome, but wow, you sure pay a premium for this. Now, this means I have spent $1,000 just on Starlink hardware, and then I am billed for the most expensive internet plan I have ever even heard of?!
